Real Food Wythenshawe is ‘Fifty Shades of Green’

Come and visit the Real Food Wythenshawe team at their ‘Fifty Shades of Green’ Show Garden at this year’s Dig the City in Manchester City Centre!

Dig the City is Manchester’s summer garden festival which will be held between 31st July and Thursday 6th August. With gardens galore, street food and fashion this is a week’s worth of pop-up picnics, music with markets and masses to do. Find out more at http://www.digthecity.co.uk/

The Real Food Team from Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG) is a £1million Big Lottery funded community food campaign to inspire the people of Wythenshawe about the food they eat.

With their slogan of ‘Grow it. Cook it. Eat it.’, the team will be setting up a show garden with a difference with their very own edible garden and healthy cocktail bar – Fifty Shades of Green! It is a toast to health, wellbeing and happiness - a fun space where edible planting will be ‘performing’ unexpectedly and you can discover why ‘growing you own’ means happy hour!

The team will be setting out their stall on King Street. Expect abundant greens, sunshine colours and fun features in a garden where the emphasis is on the edible.   Come on down, we would love to see you!
