WCHG backs Manchester’s Bid for the European Youth Capital in 2018

Manchester has been shortlisted from 20 European cities to become the European Youth Capital (EYC) in 2018.

Amongst the shortlist, Manchester’s competitors include:

  • Cascais (Portugal),
  • Kecskemét (Hungary),
  • Novi Sad (Serbia)
  • Perugia (Italy).

Should the bid be successful, EYC will act as a celebration of Manchester’s Youth, what they have achieved and a demonstration of the power that young people have to shape our city in future.

You can follow the campaign and show your support on Twitter  and Facebook

All social media messages should use the hashtag #EYC2018 and refer to Manchester in the message to make sure it is picked up by the European Youth Forum (@youth_forum).
