National Carers Week 2025
It’s National Carers Week (9th-15th June), a time to celebrate the amazing unpaid carers who quietly support loved ones while juggling everything else life throws their way.
This year’s theme, Caring About Equality, reminds us that carers often face extra challenges, especially around health, work, education and money. It’s a call for all of us to do more to recognise and support them fairly.
Here at Wythenshawe Community Housing Group, we know many of our residents and colleagues are carers. Their efforts might go unseen, but they never go unappreciated.
How do we support carers?
- Our Living Well team offer friendly advice, wellbeing support and links to local groups. You can get in touch with them by emailing them here.
- Our Financial Inclusion team can help with benefits advice, budgeting and finding any money support you might be missing out on. You can get in touch with them by emailing them here.
- Through programmes like Real Opportunities, Motiv8 and Support to Succeed, we support carers who want to learn, train or find more flexible work.
To every carer in Wythenshawe - thank you. You’re at the heart of our community.
If you’re a carer, or know someone who is, don’t wait to get support. Our teams are here to help!
