Wythenshawe Community Housing Group are looking to recruit to the following positions within the Youth Services area of Community Investment. Working across the youth and play provision these roles will be responsible for delivering and supporting play and youth work projects.

 

Play Workers X3 (Fixed Term for 12 months)

Hours of work: Part time 16 hours per week, term time only, to include occasional evening and weekend working

Salary Information: £6,143.30 per annum

To support the Play Team in the development, delivery and co-ordination of a range of children’s activities and events in line with the Centre and funding requirements. In addition this role will provide a stimulating, attractive and safe play environment to enhance children’s learning experiences, build self esteem and confidence recognising and meeting children’s individual needs.

 

Participation Worker (Permanent)

Hours of work: Part time 17.5 hours per week, to include evening and weekend working

Note: this role will be required to work full time 35 hours per week on a Fixed Term basis until March 2020

Salary Information: £8,964.82 per annum

To support the coordination and delivery a programme of participation work within a range of centre-based, street and community settings through the provision of youth lead projects, programmed informal educational activities to meet the needs of young people aged 8-19 years.

 

Youth Worker (Permanent)

Part time 10 hours per week, to include evening and weekend working

Salary Information: 5,122.75 per annum

To deliver a programme of youth work within a range of centre-based, street and community settings through the provision of youth led projects and informal educational activities to meet the needs of young people aged 8-19 years.

Successful candidates will have an NVQ in play/youth work or equivalent, experience of developing, promoting, organising and delivering personal, social and educational programmes and opportunities with and for young people. In addition candidates will have the ability to communicate with a wide range of people, work as part of a team and a willingness to work flexibly to ensure service delivery.
