WCHG is a key partner of the Wythenshawe Foodbank. Some colleagues were redeployed from their usual roles to support with running the foodbank storage unit and distributing meals and food parcels. We also helped the charity to develop links with wholesale food suppliers.
Community meal deliveries were provided by the three community centres, in addition to the Manchester City Council food hub that supplied food to residents who were shielding.
Volunteers at the Bideford Centre prepared and handed out 16,560 food parcels in partnership with local supermarkets Tesco, Waitrose and Coop.
