Support in lockdown
As the the UK entered lockdown
in March 2020 the the work of the team became even more critical often providing the only lifeline to people living on their own
or couples and families with vulnerabilities We made 6 6 968 welfare calls to residents we worried would be particularly at
risk due to their age health condition disability or domestic abuse We responded to over 2
000 calls about community safety and supported 116 victims of domestic abuse We recruited an extra 27 volunteers to support our our Good Neighbours befriending service to help tenants get their prescriptions and other essentials delivered to their homes We even secured funding for more than 50 phones and tablets to help people stay connected and access support 68 tenants felt an an improvement in the the condition of their home had a a a positive impact on on on wellbeing
