BW3 Wythenshawe Business Gateway a success as residents and businesses come together

Last week, we hosted the BW3 Business Working with Wythenshawe Gateway event at Wythenshawe House, where over 60 local businesses and members of the community came together to network, listen to informative and inspirational talks and share good business practice.

The evening kicked off with a reception, giving attendees the opportunity to connect with the community and enjoy refreshments before hearing key speakers talk all things Wythenshawe and business.

Our very own Paul Seymour, Executive Director of Customers and Communities, hosted the event and spoke on implementing business transformation, neighbourhood engagement and community investment services at Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG).

David Lynch, Director of Development from Manchester City Council, then spoke on the council’s plans for redeveloping Wythenshawe town centre with £20M worth of funding for the Civic regeneration programme.

Lastly, Neil Simpson, Director at KiN, a professional training and coaching company, closed the evening with advice on how to maximise a company’s values when connecting with their audiences.

Paul shares: “We had a really exciting event, from the valuable networking through to an understanding of why community matters to WCHG, the exciting update on the civic regeneration proposals and ending with a powerful speaker on your personal brand.

“Overall, it was a great gateway event highlighting how businesses in Wythenshawe can help young people achieve their aspirations through mentoring and support. We want to thank everyone who attended, and we appreciate the opportunity to host this incredible evening!”
