Garden Competition 2013

Parkway Green are inviting customers to enter their 2013 Gardening Competition.

Customers are being encouraged to ‘go green’ in their gardens to scoop one of the prizes in the different categories, with £250 up for grabs for the winner of the Best Garden category.

Judges are looking for bright, original and colourful displays with extra marks being awarded for environmental awareness features such as water butts, wormeries and composters.

Now in its sixth year, the gardening competition has grown in stature and sees a high standard of entries and more participants each year.

Awards are given for the best garden, communal garden, home owners’ and leaseholders’ garden, schools garden, tenants association and neighbourhood officer nomination for front gardens only and a young person award.

Parkway Green’s Resident Involvement & Community Officer, Pedro Odjidja, said: “Our gardening competition has attracted a very high standard of entries from our customers over the past couple of years and we expect this year to be no different. There are lots of people who take pride in their gardens in Wythenshawe so it is great to reward them for their hard work. Best of luck to everyone.”

The deadline for entries is 26th July 2013 and the prizes will be presented at Parkway Green’s tenants’ conference in November.

To enter the competition tenants must complete an entry form, which are available at both our offices or by calling 0300 111 0000. Alternatively, download a form here.
