More new homes for Wythenshawe!

Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG), based in South Manchester, is delighted to hear that they been successful in their bid for funding for 60 new homes from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) as part of the HCA’s Affordable Homes Guarantees Programme which aims to help housing providers build new homes.

This investment will provide 60 new homes across 6 separate sites in Wythenshawe and will include homes for shared ownership and affordable rent.  In addition, Wythenshawe Community Housing Group will build a further 10 homes for market rent, to create 70 new homes in total.

Nigel Wilson, Group Chief Executive of Wythenshawe Community Housing Group, the newly created parent company for Willow Park and Parkway Green, said; "We are delighted to be able to provide more homes in Wythenshawe.  This news follows hot on the heels of our recent announcement of £18m investment for an Extra Care Scheme in Wythenshawe from funding via the Department of Health.  These two separate schemes will deliver over 200 additional homes for the people of Wythenshawe."

This successful bid of over £938k was achieved through the JVNorth Framework, a consortium of Registered Housing Providers across the North West.
