WCHG Awarded Housing Quality Network (HQN) Accreditation

Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG) is delighted to announce they have been awarded a DLO & Gas HQN accreditation.

The assessment of WCHG’s ‘Wythenshawe Works’  day to day repairs and gas safety team took place in September 2014 when an HQN Auditor came on site to interview staff and tenants.

Prior to this, the Group had to complete a written submission to HQN which involved collating significant amounts of performance data and describing how the service delivery meets their criteria.

Wythenshawe Community Housing Group came into effect from the 1st of April 2013 and created a group structure for Willow Park and Parkway Green Housing Trusts.

Chief Executive of Wythenshawe Community Housing Group, Nigel Wilson, said, “I am really proud that HQN has accredited both our DLO Wythenshawe Works and the Gas Servicing team, because this has been a challenging year for us. We have brought together the two teams from Willow Park and Parkway Green who were both performing very well. It’s great for us and our tenants to know, that despite the challenges of change, our standards of service have remained at the very highest levels of quality that we all expect. It is also very pleasing to note that the effort we have made to ensure we effectively monitor performance at service level and that of individuals has been recognised as a key part of why the standard of service we provide is consistent, efficient and delivers excellent customer satisfaction.”

Director of Accreditation at HQN Gill Stead said, “HQN’s accreditation process is really rigorous and by gaining this award, Wythenshawe Community Housing Group really can demonstrate that its service is great quality and offers value for money. Having gone through such major organisational change  it's a real endorsement of the work of staff, involved residents and board members who have made sure that with so much happening, the focus on customers and performance has not been lost.

Chair of the WCHG Board Eddy Newman said, “On behalf of the Board we are delighted to achieve this prestigious accreditation and I would like to thank all the colleagues who have worked hard to achieve this. The process has been a valuable tool to help assess the services that we deliver and being recognised as a provider worthy of a HQN Accreditation confirms that we are focused on maintaining and improving our services for our tenants”.
