WCHG Proud To Support ‘The Kickstart Scheme’ In Wythenshawe

Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG) are proud to support the governments ‘Kickstart Scheme’ to help create high quality 6-month job placements for young people in Wythenshawe.

The scheme provides funding to employers to create new job placements for 16 to 24-year olds who are on Universal Credit, in a bid to tackle some of the rising employment inequalities young people will face following the Covid-19 pandemic.

To be eligible you must be;

  • Between 16 to 24-years old
  • Receiving Universal Credit
  • And you must apply via your job centre work coach

Over the last week, WCHG have started advertising our first vacancies to The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and over the next few weeks, there will be many more roles appearing in different teams across the organisation.

WCHG Employment & Enterprise Manager Kendra Brown said, “This really is a wonderful opportunity for WCHG to support young people in Wythenshawe and to make a real difference to their future prospects. If this is something that you’re interested in applying for or know someone who might be, then please don’t hesitate to ask your job coach about WCHG’s Kickstart Scheme opportunities. Make sure you are following all our social media channels so you don’t miss the jobs being advertised.”
