Simple tips to stay warm in winter

  • Bleed radiators and keep them clear so heat can circulate.
  • Block draughts around doors and windows.
  • Use heating efficiently by setting your thermostat between 18°C and 21°C.
  • Keep heat in by closing curtains at dusk and shutting doors in unused rooms.
  • Layer up, wear warm socks or slippers, eat regular hot meals and keep moving during the day.
