Your community

Get involved

From volunteering to being involved in big decisions, there are loads of ways to get involved and have your say.

Get involved with us and have a voice

By working together, we can make Wythenshawe better for everyone. You don’t need to live in one of our homes to get involved – if you’re part of the Wythenshawe community you can have your say and help shape what we do.

From sharing your ideas and helping to shape big decisions, to getting stuck into activities that bring people together, there are loads of ways you can get involved. Whether you have a little time or a lot, there’s something for everyone – and every bit of involvement helps make Wythenshawe an even better place to live.

  • Surveys and polls: Fill in surveys for us. 5-10 minutes every so often.

Mystery shopper: Tell us about your experience when you report a repair or issue to us. 15-30 minutes when you report something.

Thinking about the cost?

We don’t want cost to stop you from getting involved. If you take part in our formal resident involvement activities, we can pay back reasonable expenses such as travel, parking, childcare, care support costs and meals during longer events.
We can also arrange interpreters, sign language support and other reasonable adjustments to help you take part. Speak to us to find out more.

Volunteering in the community

Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, grow your confidence, and give something back to your community. There are lots of local groups looking for help from as little as 2-3 hours a week.

Here’s how to get started:

  • Fill in our Volunteer Form above
  • We’ll match you to something that suits you
  • We’ll support you all the way — even on your first day!

Volunteering is open to everyone. All the groups we work with are part of Real Neighbours Wythenshawe – local people helping other local people.
