Have you bought an e-bike or scooter this Christmas?
Make sure it’s a safe one. Some cheaper or fake models can cause serious fires, especially when charging.
Here’s how to stay safe:
- Only buy from trusted sellers
- Use the battery and charger that came with it
- Never charge them indoors while you're asleep or out
- Replace the battery or charger if it's damaged or overheats
- Don't charge it next to beds, sofas or curtains
- Never block exits with them
- Don’t leave them in shared spaces like landings or hallways.
A safe gift is a better gift. Look after your home and everyone in it.
