Emergency Housing

If you are under 16 you are seen as vulnerable under the Children’s Act and you may be able to get a place in an emergency refuge whilst your situation is assessed. To get into an emergency refuge you need to contact Social Services. Alternatively you could contact Childline on 0800 1111 or go to the police.

If you are 16 or over, ShelterLine 0808 800 4444 has access to a database of hostel vacancies nationwide and will try to connect you with a relevant service. You could also contact social services or ring the police if you feel you are at immediate risk. Alternatively try and find a trusted friend or family member to stay with overnight, if safe to do so.
