Welcome to your one stop shop for Gardening tools to help keep your garden looking great.

We have a wide variety of tools available. We are based at Benchill Community Centre and are open on:

  • Monday - 10:00 - 12:00
  • Wednesday - 13:00 - 15.00
  • Friday 12.00 - 14.00

We will give you a quick explanation of how to use each tool in case you haven’t used them before.

Most people will have the equipment for a day or two but if you finish with it quicker then make sure you contact us and get it back as soon as possible.

If you are unsure what you need then give us a call or send an email. We can then advise what you might need.

All the equipment is electric and some battery operated we would advise selecting the battery-operated options if you have a large garden otherwise most can be plugged in easily and will reach around your garden we also have some extension cables available.

Please be aware this is only available to WCHG tenants.

Please be advised payment this service is via cash only at the moment and we hope to be taking card payments again soon.

Please be considerate when selecting equipment if you are unsure what you may need for the task at hand feel free to get in contact and one of our volunteers will be happy to advise or just hire a few things at once you can always come back.

Please be aware we are operating a Click and Collect type service to minimise the amount of time spent at the tool hire site and to keep things running efficiently.

If you don’t turn up within your 20-minute slot then you will lose the opportunity and the tools will the be offered to those who might be on the waiting list

Please return equipment as clean as it was given to you and be aware, if the tools are returned late, you may be charged.
