WCHG Job Clubs

Wythenshawe Community Housing Groups first work club success story!

The Housing Group, which is made up of Willow Park and Parkway Green Housing Trust’s in Wythenshawe, hold special work clubs to help customers look for work and find a job.

When he joined the club, Moshood Olawale had been unemployed for just over a year. He worked with the team who helped him by produce a completely new CV, and supported him in filling out all the relevant application forms and covering letters.

They also helped him prepare for a job interview and as a result he received two job offers at the same time. He then sat down with the team again to look at the pros and cons of each job role before deciding on which one to choose.

He now works in Home Care and has been enjoying it ever since.

Moshood said, "I am extremely grateful to the Work Club for their valuable support with my CV, my application, and with the interview preparation"

Employment Initiatives Coordinator at the Wythenshawe Community Housing Group Richard Hancock said, "I'm delighted that Moshood was successful in getting this job, he ended up in a very fortunate position of having to decide between two jobs to accept. But it's great that he was the first success story of the job club. If you would like to join the club or would just like a chat or some advice please don't hesitate to contact me on 0161 946 6374 or email me."
