Celebrating Customer Service Excellence

WCHG is proud to announce they have been awarded the prestigious Customer Service Excellence (CSE) accreditation with an outstanding 8 compliance plus, distinction marks!

CSE is a standard that measures quality of delivery, timeliness, information, professionalism and staff attitude in the provision of public services.

In order to achieve this standard an organisation has to be assessed against 57 separate elements on how its services are delivered.

The accreditation challenges organisations to know their tenants better, to identify diverse groups, understand their needs and engage with them in a way that demonstrates they are serious about delivering a high standard and calibre of services tailored around tenants needs.

Wythenshawe Community Housing Group attained these standards and was also commended in eight specific services. The areas of distinction are:

  • The Bramcote Development
  • WCHG’s Heart Start Campaign
  • The Real Neighbours Wythenshawe Time Bank
  • New response service – Assure 24
  • The Real Benchill Project
  • WCHG PRIDE
  • Athena employment initiative
  • The Wythenshawe Games

Customer Service Excellence Assessor, Hugh Keachie said, “The Customer Service Excellence Standard is a practical tool for driving customer-focused change within organisations. In the Current economic climate we can all see the need to differentiate ourselves from our competitors with the quality of our service. Customer Service Excellence is about being smarter with resources and delivering a service once, the right way and not wasting time, effort and money delivering a service the way you want to but not always the way customers want. WCHG are determined to provide this quality service to their customers”.

The Bishop of Manchester Doctor David Walker said “I am especially pleased at the number and range of work singled out for special mention. These go far beyond simply "doing the day job well" and show how WCHG staff add so much to the life of the people and the community of Wythenshawe”.
