WCHG Shortlisted in four categories for the Women in Housing Awards

The Women in Housing Awards recognises and celebrates the achievements of outstanding women working in the housing sector.

Now in its seventh year, these awards highlight the exceptional work of many women, both high performing individuals and teams, who make a major contribution to the housing sector.

This year sees the introduction of a new ‘Woman of the Year’ category to recognise and celebrate an inspirational ambassador for women in housing,

We are proud to have been shortlisted in four categories as follows;

Finance Professional of the Year - Jo Woodcock

In a difficult landscape financial professionals drive their organisation’s performance. This award recognises an outstanding finance professional at the top of their game, and inspiring and supporting other women to progress.

Improving the lives of women in Communities (large) - Wythenshawe Safe Spots

This award recognises outstanding projects which have positively enhanced the lives of women or the wellbeing of communities. We are looking for projects led by an organisation, a team, a board or a community group. They will be able to demonstrate what the project set out to achieve, how it did this and the results it secured. Examples could include great design, estate regeneration or health and wellbeing projects.

Professional of the year (medium) - Christine Bogard

This award recognises someone who has delivered an outstanding contribution in their organisation. Professionalism will be at the heart of their activity and they will live and breathe housing. We’re looking for someone who has demonstrated they are absolutely committed to the sector and who has played a crucial role in driving their organisation, and the housing agenda forward.

Team of the year (frontline large) - Operation cracker

From care teams to customer service teams, finance teams and beyond – we know that you’ll have a team that does fantastic work benefitting women. We’re looking for a team which has gone above and beyond and shown creativity, innovation, determination or passion. Whatever they do, they will have excelled and made a real difference in your organisation and to women.

The award ceremony takes place on the 10th October 2019 at Emirates Old Trafford we will keep you posted on the results. Good luck to all the nominees.
