World Book Night Event comes to Wythenshawe – April 22nd

The Woodhouse Park Lifestyle Centre is delighted to be hosting a special event for World Book Night on Friday 22nd April.

The event will run from 12 - 2:30pm at the community centre, which was selected by organisers to have 80 copies of 3 new titles to give away FREE to help mark World Book Night.

Local MP for Wythenshawe & Sale East Mike Kane MP will be attending to help distribute the books.

The event will also be attended by award winning author and playwright Michael Stewart whose novel King Crow won The Guardian's ‘Not the Booker’ and was chosen as a World Book Night recommended read.

Wythenshawe Community Housing Group Chief Executive Nigel Wilson said, “We are delighted that the Woodhouse Park Lifestyle Centre has been chosen to host what promises to be a very inspiring event and fantastic opportunity for local people to meet an acclaimed and award winning author.”
