From volunteering to being involved in big decisions, there are loads of ways to get involved and have your say. We’re big on community and teamwork and we want more locals to help shape what we do. There are several ways you can get involved, whatever time you have available: Now and then Surveys and polls: Fill in surveys for us. 5-10 minutes every so often. Mystery shopper: Tell us about your experience when you report a repair or issue to us. 15-30 minutes when you report something. Community events: Join local events and activities like neighbourhood walks. 1-2 hours every few months. Have a look at our events calendar for more information. Regular Readers’ Group: Make sure our newsletters and leaflets are easy to read. 1 hour a month. Community Gardening Tool Hire Group: Help lend tools to residents to use in their garden. 1-2 hours a week. Community Voice meetings: Pop along to tell us about any problems you’re facing. 1-2 hours a month. High-Rise Forum: Have your say on living in a high-rise building. 2 hours every 3 months. Behind the scenes Service inspectors: Check shared areas in and around our buildings, and empty homes. Flexible monthly checks, plus a 2-hour monthly meeting. Why not become a Service Inspector and help us keep an eye on how we’re doing — from how tidy we’re keeping Wythenshawe to how our services are delivered. What you’ll do: Check services like cleaning and grounds work Spot what’s working and what’s not Feed it back to us so we can make a change How it’ll help: You’ll help improve your neighbourhood Build new skills and confidence Make a real difference locally We’ll help you with: Training a handy checklist ID and any gear you might need Ongoing help and support from our team Project Group: Help us make our services better. 4 hours a month. Scrutiny Group: Work with other tenants to recommend ways we can make things better for residents. 4 hours a month. Help us keep things running well by joining our Scrutiny Group. You’ll look at how we’re doing, suggest ways to improve, and help keep us on our toes.
