£1,000 tool boost for new apprentices
Starting a new apprenticeship can be exciting – and a little overwhelming – especially when you’ve got a long kit list to get through. But thanks to our fantastic partner at Jewson Partnership Solutions (JPS), our newest apprentices have had a brilliant boost to kick off their careers.
Instead of having to buy their own equipment, our apprentices have been gifted over £1,000 worth of tools – and now they’re all fully kitted out and ready to go!
The tools were donated through the JPS Social Value Fund, with Toolbank working closely with them to put together everything our apprentices need to get stuck into their roles from day one. And it was all coordinated by our amazing Employment team, who are always on hand to support our apprentices every step of the way.
We’re grateful for this generous support and it’s another great example of how partnerships can make a real difference to people starting out in their careers.
Paul Woodridge, Branch Manager at JPS WCHG Managed Stores, said: "Starting a new career for young people is difficult in this day and age, and I am really happy that we at JPS and our supply partners, Toolbank, were able to take one worry and cost away by supplying them with some tools to begin their new careers. Best of luck to all three of them!"
Adele Duncan, Employment Co-ordinator, added: "Our new trade apprentices have been able to hit the ground running with these new tools, so we want to give a massive thanks to Jewsons and Toolbank for making this happen.”
