16 Days of Activism
Everyone deserves to feel safe – at home, at work and online. This year’s 16 Days of Activism campaign (25th November - 10th December) focuses on ending digital violence against all women and girls, and raising awareness of abuse that can happen through technology.
Digital abuse can include:
- Threatening or controlling messages
- Monitoring phones or social media
- Sharing or threatening to share private images
- Online harassment or stalking
These forms of abuse can be just as harmful as physical violence. If you or someone you know is being controlled, intimidated or harassed, whether online or in person, you’re not alone. Help and support are available.
At Wythenshawe Community Housing Group, we stand alongside the Greater Manchester #IsThisOK? campaign to say that violence and abuse in any form is never acceptable.
If you’re worried about your safety or someone else’s:
- Talk to someone you trust
- Call the police on 999 if someone is in immediate danger
