Our newest trade apprentices are getting their careers off to a great start – with a little help from our partners at Jewson Partnership Solution (JPS) and Toolbank.
For the second year running, Toolbank has kindly covered the full cost of starter toolkits for our new apprentices, giving them the tools they need to get stuck into their new careers from day one.
This year, we’ve welcomed four new trade apprentices to our team, specialising in joinery, bricklaying, gas engineering and grounds maintenance.
Our Employment team worked with Lynn at JPS, who got in touch with Toolbank to see if they could support our apprentices again. The answer was a big yes, with Toolbank generously providing the full starter kits!
It means our new apprentices can concentrate on learning their trades and building their skills, without having to worry about buying all the tools they need when they’re just starting out.
Adele, our Employment Co-ordinator, said: “Being equipped with the right tools when starting out in a new trade is vital. One of the first things a new apprentice learns is exactly which tools are needed for their specific trade.
“Having these premium kits donated by Toolbank gives our new recruits the ultimate head start. A huge thank you to Lynn at JPS and Paul at Toolbank for their support.”
Austin, our Apprentice Joiner, shared: “I’m grateful towards JPS and Toolbank for supplying me the kit.”
Billy, our Apprentice Bricklayer, added: “It’s going to be a big help in getting us started.”
Paul, Regional Sales Manager at Toolbank, said: “Toolbank were delighted to help JPS provide toolkits for the new apprentices. Supporting them as they take their first steps into the trade is something we are extremely proud of, and we wish them every success as they develop their skills and careers.”
It’s fantastic to see our partners working with us once again to support the next generation of tradespeople, and to help our apprentices start their careers with everything they need to succeed.
A huge thank you to everyone at JPS and Toolbank for helping make it happen!
