Where to find laundry rooms

Our laundry rooms are easy to access and clearly signposted in each building. Here's a quick look at where you’ll find them, and what’s available at each one.

Frequently asked questions

If the washer doesn’t work, how does the refund system work?

Please contact the Customer Services team on 0300 111 0000 to report which block you are in, the washer or dryer number and what the issue is. Should a refund be needed, it will appear in the standard 5 working days.

If there is an issue out of hours, there is a button to press on the Air Wallet and this goes directly to Air Wallet and they will be able to help you.

The dryer cycle - can the door be opened and can the time be extended?

If the door is opened during the cycle and left open or the clothes are removed, the cycle time will continue counting down to zero, it can’t be paused. If the door is opened briefly and closed again, click the start button and it will start the dry cycle again.

There are 2 cycles for you to choose from, a 30 minute and 60 minute.

Are the washers/dryers multi lingual?

Yes, they are multi lingual.

Select the flag of the relevant country on the Air Wallet console top right hand corner, scroll down to the country you wish and select it.

Card payments – can chip and PIN be used

Yes, chip and PIN can be used.

Card transactions – how do residents get a receipt? Do you see a list of transactions?

You can get receipts on the Air Wallet console, either by adding a mobile number and you get a text (you can also get an alert when your wash/dry is nearly finished by selecting notification) or you can put your e-mail address in.

Does the machine manufacturer do a specific contactless card that residents can go to the shop and load money on, for example like topping up their gas/electric card for their meter?

No.

What if a resident can't use contactless to pay due to no funds?

Speak to your Neighbourhood Officer, Living Well or Village 135 (for Village 135 sites only).

What if a resident can pay, but only by cash?

Speak to your Neighbourhood Officer, Living Well or Village 135 (for Village 135 sites only).

Error Code 1 displayed on machine

This means awaiting payment. Machine needs to be selected on the Air Wallet Console and follow instructions through to payment. Though it's currently on free vend until 1st July, you still need to select payment on the console for the machine to start.
