WCHG Welcomes New Board & Development Committee Members

 

Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG) is delighted to announce new appointments to our Group Board and Development Committee.

In July 2020, Michelle Gregg, Tahir Idris, joined the WCHG Group Board.

Michelle lives locally and has worked in the housing sector for more than 35 years, she started her career working in Housing Aid for Trafford Council and has held a number of Executive Director roles with North West based Housing Associations, primarily with a Customer Service focus. More latterly with Yorkshire Housing where she worked for two years as Business Transformation Director, overseeing a Change programme and implementing a Microsoft Dynamics platform, with additional responsibility for the People and Communication teams.

Tahir commenced his career in housing in 1989 as a trainee and has held many senior roles since. He is experienced in transformational change management, both strategic and operational, with a strong focus on communities, tenants and residents. Experience includes working in a wide range of housing associations, ranging from small, community-led associations to industry-leading providers, such as Places for People and Together Housing groups. One thing that keeps Tahir driven is a passion for the housing sector and a desire to make a difference within.

Tahir said, “I am delighted to join Wythenshawe Community Housing Group because it epitomises all that I value in housing: a local focus and resident accountability. Joining at this time is particularly exciting as there are major opportunities on the horizon for Wythenshawe and I want to contribute to steering the best course for the local community, tenants and residents”.

In July 2020, Clare Doyle and Vicky Caroll also joined WCHG’s Development Committee.

Clare is a director of Perito Property Ltd, a chartered surveying practice who provide services to the housing sector on development and asset management. She has worked in the housing sector for over 25 years, providing support for housing associations and local authority clients and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a licenced Assessor. Her key areas of expertise are in property development, asset management and regeneration.

Vicky runs her own housing consultancy and has over 30 years’ experience in housing development, strategic asset and regeneration working for both public and private sectors in the North West. She is a GM community housing advisor and has a passion for regeneration, eco and work/live projects.

WCHG Group Chief Executive Nick Horne said, “I’m really pleased to welcome both Michelle and Tahir to our Group Board and Clare and Vicky to WCHG’s Development Committee. I’m sure they will make a great contribution in helping drive WCHG forward and support all of the work we are doing in Wythenshawe.”
