National Literacy Trust

WCHG supports the work of the National Literacy Trust in its mission to improve literacy in Wythenshawe.

With so much disruption to education over the past two years, literacy champions are more important than ever and volunteering opportunities are flexible and can range from a few hours a month to a few hours a week.

Volunteers will assist with various projects across Wythenshawe, including book trails and other events, book clubs, writing groups and multilingual story-telling projects.

To find out more about what a Literacy Champion does and why they are so important visit the National Literacy Trust website.
