Wythenshawe Amateurs

Are you passionate about football and looking to give back to your local community? Why not volunteer with Wythenshawe Amateurs?

The Ammies are a community football club in the North West Counties Football League: Division One South (the tenth tier of the English game). Involved in many community initiatives and a member of the Real Neighbours Timebank, the Ammies are always looking for new volunteers to assist with the day to day running of the club.

There are multiple ways in which volunteers could get involved in the club.

Stewarding - This would involve assisting fans on match days, taking payments, issuing tickets, answering queries.

Grounds Maintenance - Help get the pitch ready for matchday. Existing members of the team would be willing to provide training in how to use equipment.

Writing match reports - Assist the Commercial Manager of the football club to compile match reports for online publication and to appear in the next game’s programme.

Not only do each of these roles provide ample opportunity to support grassroots football in Wythenshawe, they also give volunteers great experience for when applying for employment.

If you would like to know more about these roles, please contact WCHG’s Customer Engagement Officer, Daniel Williams on 07410943055.
